Local weather forecast

Description of ride: Murray Canyon Trail is reached from staging area by trail heading north out of parking area. It crosses S Palm and heads NW, turning into a single track as it enters the mouth of the canyon. Multiple water crossings. Palm Canyon/Indian Potrero Trail Loop is a strenuous single track with occasional difficult sections and steep downhills while negotiating rocks. One small water crossing at southern end of Indian Potrero Trail.

The routes indicated lie entirely within the Agua Caliente Indian Reservation. This region is also known as Indian Canyons. Year-round abundant water make it possible for the California Fan Palm to live in this otherwise very dry place without artificial irrigation.

Access and Parking: Indian Canyons is accessible for day use only. Hours are 8am-5pm daily, October - July; 8am-5pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only, July-September. Equestrians must park in the location indicated on the map.
